Pepper Jam Sandwich 1936

This recipe was adapted from 1,001 Sandwiches to make a half batch of sandwiche

1 large sweet red peppers, finely chopped
1/2 green bell peppers, finely chopped
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1/8 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoons ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Basically, add all ingredients to a pot and cook on medium heat until thick. Note: this will smell quite strong but mellows out after cooking. Let cool to room temperature and pour into a small glass jar and seal. For sandwiches, combing a little stiff mayonnaise or softened cream cheese. Spread on thin slices of bread.

Plus up ideas: Thin slices of Honeycrsip apple, thin slices of smoked ham
