This recipe was from the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book

Broiled Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of bread, toasted on one side (if you plan on closing it up, just put two sliced together in a toaster oven

  • Butter

  • A few slices of roasted turley

  • Cheese of choice (I recommend Swiss)

  • 1/4 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup

Butter un-toasted side of bread and top with slices of roast turkey. Cover with a thin slice of cheese. Place under broiler until cheese is melted. Pour mushroom sauce over.

Plus up ideas: Freshly grated nutmeg if using Swiss. If using cheddar, add some powdered sage and freshly chopped rosemary.
